Ling’s remarkable career began as a nurse in the U.S. Army, where she led a battalion aid station in an active combat zone, providing her with a strong foundation for her ambitious goal: transforming healthcare on a broader scale.

As the CEO of SpectrumAi, Ling is leading the charge to democratize access to high-quality and affordable ABA services for all children on the Autism spectrum. Her focus on health equity is unwavering, as she works in partnership with clinicians, parents, and payers to make these vital services available in the most vulnerable communities.

Ling’s extensive professional background includes serving as the Chief Commercial Officer at Buoy Health, sales executive at UnitedHealthcare and Optum, and a Senior Vice President of Strategic Solutions at American Well. Her comprehensive experience in the healthcare sector positions her as a visionary leader in the industry.

With an MBA from Harvard Business School and a Bachelor of Science in Nuclear Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Ling Shao’s multidisciplinary background underscores her dedication to excellence and her commitment to making healthcare accessible for all.

Moreover, Melissa’s extensive experience at UnitedHealth Group, where she played pivotal roles in commercializing the Optum Ventures portfolio, executing strategic initiatives for Optum Behavioral Health, and managing enterprise sponsorships and strategic relationships, brings invaluable knowledge to the board.
