Product Manager

Position Summary

A company is only as good as its people, and as a Product Manager, you will be responsible for setting the roadmap and partnering with tech, operations, members experience, and marketing to optimize the data flow.  You will provide thought leadership and collaborate with colleagues to develop a best-in-class experience. You will lean on data to make decisions and when you don’t have data, you search for customer anecdotes to gain insights.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Obsess over our members and caregivers. You will drive market research, user research, and data analysis that informs product requirements to build products
  • Guide product development—from conception to launch
  • Establish and prioritize our product goals, share these priorities with larger development teams
  • Develop an understanding of Joshin users by conducting research, data analysis, customer interviews, and usability testing
  • Display strong leadership, organizational, and execution skills. You will own the direction of the product vision and execution.
  • Is the primary driver for identifying significant opportunities, and driving product vision, strategies and roadmaps in the context of broader organizational strategies and goals
  • Incorporate data, research, and market analysis to inform product strategies and roadmaps
  • Understand Joshin’s strategic and competitive position and deliver products that are aligned with our mission and recognized best in the industry
  • Maximize efficiency in a constantly evolving environment where the process is fluid and creative solutions are the norm
  • Conceptualize and prototype new features and processes to drive growth – this can be acquisition funnels, referral features, notifications, and retention strategies
  • Manage the user experience of the website including site navigation, content development, and onboarding funnel
  • Manage all aspects of web analytics, and present important findings to team members, executive leadership, and cross-functional partners
  • Ensure that all features and experiences you deliver fit a high standard of polish
  • Partner with creative and marketing team to ensure brand and product information is optimized for conversion rate, inclusive of enhanced brand content creation, product descriptions & imagery
  • Measure and mine data to understand patterns of growth – what’s working and double down on successes, iterating rapidly

What You Should Have

  • 4+ years of work experience in product management roles working with engineering teams
  • You are comfortable working with data.  SQL experience required
  • You have built products for a business that has achieved significant scale over a short period of time
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, comfortable presenting to large groups and executive teams
  • Detail and data-obsessed: you enjoy obsessing over getting the information right to ensure a top-notch customer experience
  • Passionate self-starter, decisive, and able to move with speed to implement ideas
  • You are a builder– you like to invent on behalf of customers.  You are comfortable working with ambiguity
  • Experience aligning different teams to achieve our business goals and outstanding user experiences
  • Experience of going through a full product lifecycle, integrating customer feedback into product requirements, driving prioritization and pre/post-launch execution
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field
