How Joshin Works

Download THE APP

Download the Joshin app, sign up and have immediate access to create your Care Plan.

Complete Onboarding

Receive a link to complete the new customer process (10 minutes or less).

Review Joymaker profiles, book your Care Date in the app. It's that easy.

Booking a Care Date


Choose the Day.

Families choose the day they need care, review matched Joymakers’ and with a click of a button - send a Care Date request!


Joymaker Review.

Joymakers are notified of a Care Date request in real time. They review the Care Plan and hourly rate and accept or decline the booking.


Your Care Date.

Once the Care Date is confirmed, the Joymaker reviews your Care Plan. When they arrive at your home, they check in by scanning your QR code with their QR scanner (all in the app)!


Our Pricing



You set your hourly rate which is listed in your Care Plan:
•  100% of hourly rate goes to the Joymaker
•  20% service fee of total Care Date to Joshin


You choose one of three subscription options that work best for you:
•  Monthly: $34.99/month
•  3-months: $28.99/month
•  12-months: $24.92/month

3-month & 12-month subscriptions are billed in full at time of signup.


You are auto-billed after each Care Date. Your payment information is easily accessed in the Joshin app.

Qualified Joymakers

Joymakers go through the Joshin vetting process before they have access to provide care. This means you only get qualified and reliable caregivers.


Everyone who applies is rigorously vetted. We look for experience in both caregiving and disabilities services.

Virtual Interview

Joymakers complete a virtual interview as part of their onboarding requirement - just another step to ensure professionalism.


We go the distance by checking experience and completing an accredited full background check.

Social Media Check

Joshin takes it one step further and checks the Joymakers social media accounts (when available), adding that one last check and balance.
